Artist statement
Andrew Tosiello
Andrew Tosiello (b. 1978) makes paintings informed equally by chaos/ritual magic(k) and abstraction in the Western art historical canon. Leveraging contemporary technology (API's, Python scripts) to deploy Twentieth Century strategies (chance operations, rule-based composition), Tosiello generates the images which he paints.
Andrew Tosiello lives and works in Oakland, CA.
